What is a SpotReg?

A SpotReg is an area on the map that can be represented by:

• Latitude and Longitude coordinates.
• A sequence of characters like a zip or post code.
• A sequence of words

You can use a SpotReg to communicate where you are. You can put them on forms or say them over the phone. They are a convenient way to explain where you are.

A SpotReg takes care of things like precision, decimal places and plus and minus signs, as well as being much easier to remember than conventional GPS coordinates.
